The collection "Ansatt/Innsatt" (meaning "employee/inmate") builds on stories from the book "Skammens Historie" by Sigmund Aas and Thomas Vestgården.
"In this collection I've had a big focus on the crafts and details. The entire collection is made in 2 different fabrics, both 100% wool. Playing with the contrasts og "strong" and "weak" details and cuttings.
I've gotten most of the techniques from the Norwegian traditional costumes, bunad. Ive been working with these costumes since I was 15, so its about time I implement this experience in Black Rat. "

The book "Skammens Historie"("The History Of Shame") tells us how the state of Norway has been institutionalizing different kinds of human groups because of their mental health, religion or orientation. This collection features the power of the uniform, either your an inmate or an employee.
